Ramadan 2026

Join us for a blessed month of fasting, prayer, and community

February 18 - March 19, 2026 • Eid al-Fitr: March 20, 2026

Welcome to Ramadan at Islamic Center of Muncie

Ramadan Mubarak! We invite you to join our community throughout this blessed month for daily Iftar meals, Taraweeh prayers, spiritual reflections, and programs designed to strengthen your faith and connection with Allah.

Whether you're a regular member or visiting for the first time, everyone is welcome to experience the warmth, unity, and spiritual growth of Ramadan with us.

Ramadan Programs & Activities

Nightly Iftar Dinners

From the blessed beginning of Ramadan (Wednesday, February 18, 2026) until the final fast (Thursday, March 19, 2026), join us every evening at Maghrib to break fast together. Iftar begins at approximately 6:21 PM at the start of the month, gradually shifting to about 7:53 PM by the end.

Nightly iftars are for bachelors and students. In addition, we will host weekly Community Iftars every Friday, open to the entire community including families, children, elders, and guests. All are welcome.

Bring your family and friends as we gather in unity, gratitude, and joy throughout Ramadan.

Taraweeh Prayer (Night Prayer)

Join us every night of Ramadan for Taraweeh, prayed right after Isha at the masjid.

Taraweeh begins on Tuesday night, February 17, 2026 (the night before the first day of fasting) and continues nightly throughout Ramadan until March 19, 2026. The prayer lasts about one hour, and everyone is welcome. Bring your family, and share in the peace of Ramadan.

Nightly Quran & Sunnah Reflection: From Stories to Actions

Right after Taraweeh each night, join us for a short, heart-reviving reminder rooted in the Quran and Sunnah. We turn timeless stories into practical steps for daily life.

Come to renew your intention, strengthen your faith, and leave with one clear action you can carry into tomorrow. All are welcome.

I'tikāf (Last Ten Nights of Ramadan)

Revive the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ with I'tikāf in the last ten nights of Ramadan. This is a spiritual retreat in the masjid dedicated to worship, Quran recitation, dhikr, and seeking Laylat al-Qadr.

Begins on the 21st night (approximately March 9, 2026, depending on moon sighting). Open to all brothers and sisters in the community who wish to dedicate these blessed nights to worship and drawing closer to Allah.

After-Fajr Reflection

Daily during Ramadan. Begin your day with light, lasting barakah.

After Fajr each morning, we gather for a short reflection from authentic hadith collections—a hadith read in Arabic with a brief reminder to take its wisdom into daily life.

Zakah al-Fitr Collection (Ramadan to Eid)

From the beginning of Ramadan, the masjid will begin collecting Zakah al-Fitr. This is the obligatory charity given before Eid so every family can celebrate with dignity.

The minimum amount is $15 per person in the household, paid by the head of the family, and it may be given through our available collection channels throughout Ramadan.

Collection continues until the Eid al-Fitr prayer, and all funds are distributed to eligible recipients in need before Eid, in shā' Allāh.
